The Fantazzmo 2014 Year in Review

In 2014, Fantazzmo embarked on a journey to deliver new music and exciting live shows to audiences and music lovers worldwide.  In February, Fantazzmo performed at "Luscious," in North Hollywood, CA which was a live event centered around the music of Fantazzmo and featured body painting artists and costume designers organized by Mary Cheung.  The event was designed to celebrate the sensuality & sexuality of the female form and raw energy of Fantzzmo's music.  Artists competed for a $500 cash prize during body painting contest set to a theme of "Fear In Me," one of Fantazzmo's trademark songs.

Fantazzmo then concentrated on  the follow up to "Fantazzmo I:  Enter the Fantazz."  Fantazzmo entered the recording studio with producer, "Tone" and drummer, "Randy Cook" to begin recording "Fantazzmo II: Warpath" which was recorded in various sessions between April and November, 2014.  Bassist, Mike Torres rounded out the team.  "Warpath" will be released in late Spring 2015; along with a promotional campaign, new videos and tour dates.

Because "Warpath" would not be done in time for the upcoming  Sturgis Tour, Fantazzmo released a five song EP on July 15, 2014 entitled, "Child of the Sun," which featured, "Lil Devil Stare," (originally intended as the first single on "Warpath") and "Can't Let Go," (which was previously only available to Fantazzmo fans via the Fantazzmo Official Website

Next up was preparation for the 2014 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Tour.   Fantazzmo blasted off on a 3 week action packed tour of the U.S. and performed over 18 shows at One Eyed Jack's Saloon in Sturgis, SD for the Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.  Each show during the two week residency at Sturgis featured 5 sets a night by Fantazzmo.  This is a heavy workload for any band, but Fantazzmo pulled it off with ease and kicked Ass!!!  Of course, no tour would be complete without stopping at our favorite stomping grounds in KS, the Candle Club in Wichita, KS and Samuel Brewskies in Park City, KS.

Once the tour was complete, Fantazzmo went back to ToneDef studios in Los Angeles, CA to finish guitar tracks and vocals for "Warpath."  Several sessions ensued with all tracks being complete by the end of October.  By the end of November, "Warpath" was mixed, mastered and finally completed.

On December 27, 2014, Fantazzmo entered the recording studio once again with producer, "Tone" and drummer, "Randy Cook" to begin recording Fantazzmo III.  Fantazzmo will re-enter the studio late January 2015 and is expected to complete the EP before the 75th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in the summer, which Fantazzmo is scheduled to perform at One Eyed Jack's Saloon.  Check  Fantazzmo Tour Dates.  For complete schedule and details.  "Fantazzzmo III" is scheduled for an early fall release.

I would like to thank you all for your continued support.  I am committed to creating,  releasing and performing the best music of my abilities and always strive to grow and and enhance all aspects of Fantazzmo.

I wish you the best in the upcoming year and hope to see you.  For more details, complete schedule of events & all things Fantazzmo, please visit the Official Fantzzmo Website and sign up for our email list to receive an unreleased track from the upcoming "Warpath" EP.

Fantazzmo is going to Rock the Shit out of 2015!

FANTAZZMO Enters The Studio To Begin the Recording Of "Fantazzmo III."

On December 27, 2014, Fantazzmo entered a North Hollywood Recording Studio with Producer "Tone" and drummer Randy Cooke, to begin work on "Fantazzmo III," which will be the third release from the Los Angeles based Rock band.  This release will be more sonically adventurous than previous efforts and take Fantazzmo deeper into territories lightly covered in "Fantazzmo 1:  Enter the Fantazz," and shed new light on the diverse hard hitting band.  Fantazzmo intends to release "WarPath," which features five hard hitting and melodic tunes in the late Spring of 2015 and follow with extensive touring including a two week residency at One Eyed Jack's Saloon for  the 75th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally held in Sturgis, SD.  Fantazzmo intends to release, "III" in the fall of 2015.  2015 will be a great year for the band.  Fantazzmo will release two major EP's, unleashing great new music onto the world and cementing their reputation as a musical powerhouse with their energetic and captivating live performances.

Fantazzmo is scheduled to perform at One Eyed Jack's Saloon in 2015 for the 75th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

By all accounts, the 75th anniversary of the largest motorcycle rally in the world will be the biggest biker bash ever staged, Some officials estimate overall rally attendance could reach 1 million next year, more than double the typical number.

Fantazzmo will be performing 5 sets a night from 8pm until closing time. Every night will be a party! Come on down!!!

Visionary

Today is September 2, 2014, yesterday was the final day of recording for "War Path," which means all instrumentation is complete and the five song EP is now in the mixing stage, followed by the mastering stage and then I will have the completed sonic vision.
The interesting part of this moment in time is how I feel.  One side of me is elated, with a childlike joy akin to the excitement of a 4 year old eagerly anticipating a trip to Disneyland the next morning.
Another part of me understands that this is not a time to sit back and enjoy the fruits of my labor, but instead to work twice as hard in preparation for photo shoots, video production and of course booking the next shows.
The next part of me is dreaming up the next song and focused on creating more songs; and imagining how they should sound & feel; understanding that the songwriting and production quality should reach yet a new level and push my creativity even further.
The final part of me is wondering how I am going to pay for it all!  As an artist the goal is to keep creating, keep evolving, keep moving forward.

Once upon a time, an artists role was only to create.  This is not my fate and I have accepted the challenge of my multiple roles.  I am an artist, songwriter, guitarist, vocalist, manager, PR firm, graphic designer, record label CEO, band leader, driver, roadie, booking agent, and many more...and I am having a good time with this great learning experience and journey,
One thing for sure, I will not let four years pass by without releasing new material.  "Enter the Fantazz," was released in 2010; that was a long time ago.  Since then I have released a full cd of remixes, and an EP entitled, "Child of the Sun" which featured the two new singles, "Can't Let Go" and "Lil' Devil Stare."  This is not an acceptable amount of output for an artist.  By their fourth year of existence, Led Zeppelin had released four albums, the fourth of which sold 25 million copies.  I know, I know....I am not Led Zeppelin, but my point is clear.
I spent the last four years learning how to manage and run a band, I am not going to say that I am even close to knowing anything, but I am going to do the best with the tools, knowledge & experience I have gained.
My producer, "Tone" who is an integral part of Fantazzmo and is responsible for materializing the vision and sound of Fantazzmo, asked me what is next, now that I am done tracking "War Path?"  I said, "time to work my ass off!"

"War Path" will be available everywhere October 14, 2014...Until then, check out "Child of the Sun" and "Fantazzmo 1:  Enter the Fantazz."

Cheers!
